microfinance @ econtalk

Russ Roberts and Mike Munger once more had a brilliant discussion on politics and economics, this time discussing microfinance and savings in the third world.

Especially the discussion about negative interest rates on savings in some poor countries were shocking. We complain that we only get 1% on our savings account, but they have to cope with -75%. If you only have a few minutes these days, just listen from 9:30 to 14:40 and you will learn a lot.

… or simply listen to the whole show, and learn even more.

… or spend an evening reading through the links in the show notes 😉
